As a therapist, I aim to provide the type of mental health services that I would want available to my father, my brother and even myself. As a Black man, I understand the unique experiences of Black men in America and the ways in which these experiences contribute to mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety and stress. I also recognize that Black men are diverse and are not a monolith. With this in mind, I believe that Black men deserve care that understands both the uniqueness and diversity of Black men’s experiences, while also having a cultural awareness of Black men’s mental health needs. I am intentional about inviting Black men to therapy as they have not been directly called by name or welcomed for far too long.
I am conducting all therapy appointments over a secure video telehealth system.
